Fire detection research poster for highways

As a member of a research team participating in the 15th World Invention Creativity Olympics (WICO) 2026, I explored the application of machine learning and computer vision for real-time highway fire detection.

I contributed to collecting and preprocessing fire and non-fire image datasets, applying data augmentation and normalization, and developing a MobileNetV2-based CNN for binary fire classification.

I also supported the integration of an automated alert mechanism and evaluated the system based on accuracy, detection latency, and real-time usability, with the goal of improving highway safety and emergency response.
